Activision Blizzard and Chinese partner NetEase have failed to come to an agreement during contract negotiations to continue hosting the studios services in China. It seems that game services including the Diablo franchise, Overwatch, and other live services are going to come to a halt in the coming days. Since the podcast is has since been clarified that World of Warcraft: Dragonflght will still launch in China on its planned release date, but the future of the MMO in China is uncertain in the following months. Diablo Immortal will be seemingly unaffected, as the Activision Blizzard/NetEase agreement for the title is handled separately from other titles.

Overwatch’s hero Mei has been unavailable for play since the Halloween season due to bugs attributed to her abilities. Despite this, Activision Blizzard has seen fit to continue selling cosmetics for the character.

Head of Microsoft’s gaming division, Phil Spencer, has announced their streaming-only box has been put on hold as the company finds a way to make the device cheaper to manufacturer, and more affordable for it’s release. Additionally, Microsoft has been partnering with TV manufacturers to get the Xbox streaming app to select smart TVs.

Mick Gordon, the musical mastermind behind Bethesda’s DOOM Eternal has written an open letter stating the facts from beginning to now about his issues with Bethesda. Bethesda is arguing Mick Gordon’s statements are false.
